3. Remove sealant residues at the thread of the
connection with a wire brush.
!
In doing so, make sure residues cannot enter
the connection bore. Otherwise, particles could
damage the pressure regulator. Do not blow off with
compressed air.
Installing the maintenance unit
1. Wind Teflon sealing tape round the thread of the
connection clockwise in 6 layers. Make sure the
sealing tape does not project beyond the thread.
i
6 layers of Teflon sealing tape are sufficient when
using a sealing tape thickness of 0.1 mm. If a
different Teflon sealing tape thickness is used, a
different number of layers must be used accordingly.
2. Remove the condensate vessel. To do this, push
down the lock (Fig. 2, item 2) and turn the
condensate vessel (Fig. 2, item 1) to the right or left
then pull it down.

3. Screw the maintenance unit housing onto the
connection by turning it clockwise through 4
revolutions. Pay attention to the flow direction as
you do so (see direction arrow on the maintenance
unit). When screwing on, hold the hexagon locknut
with a wrench.
4. Align the maintenance unit housing so that the
condensate vessel is vertical.
5. Screw the plug-in hose nipple with seal into the inlet
of the maintenance unit and tighten.
