TIPS
Meat
1. No specialtechniquesare required.Meat should be
preparedas w_thconventionalcooking.Season if
desired.Alwaysthoroughlydefrostmeat before

2. Place the meat on a microwaveroastingrack or
microwave-proof plate and place on the turntable.
3. Cook accordingto the "Meat CookingChart"
(below), Use the longertime for large meats and
the shortertime for smaller meats. For thicker
chops,use the longertime.
4. Turn the meat once halfwaythroughthe cooking
time.
5. Let stand for 5-10 minuteswrapped in foil after
cooking.The standingtime isvery importantas it
completesthe cookingprocess.
6. Make sure meat, especiallypork, is thoroughly
cooked beforeeating.

unlessthe poultry is self-basting.
4. AUpoultryshouldbe placed on a microwave
roastingrack or a microwave-proof plate and placed
on the turntable.
5. Cook accordingto the instructions in the "Poultry
CookingChart" below. Turn over halfwaythrough
the cookingtime. Because of itsshape, poultryhas
a tendency to cook unevenly,especiallyin very
bony parts.Turningduring roastinghelpsto cook
these areas evenly.
6. Let stand for 5-10 minutes wrapped in foil after
cookingbefore carving.The standingtime is very
important, as it completesthe cookingprocess.
7. Make sure poultry is thoroughly cookedbeforeeating.
Whole poultry is completelycookedwhen thejuices
run clear from the insidethigh when it is pierced
with a sharp knife. Poultry piecesshouldbe pierced
with a sharp knife throughthe thickest part to
ensure that the juices are clear and the flesh isfirm.
