Wiring:
Installation in four (4) wire control systems:
Installation should be consistent with existing sensor wiring and OEM's recommendations. Use
the chart below to determine correct lead connection point for the HS09 per OEM's sensor
configuration. Note: The Hog Slat, HS09, leads should be connected to the same location as the
replaced OEM sensor's lead per this chart (Figure 2)

Note: Any wire(s) not used must be taped (insulated) for protection!
Adjustment:
The time delay and sensitivity can be adjusted with the small supplied screwdriver. Locate adjustment
potentiometers on the side of the sensor near the corded ended.
Delay range is 1 second to10 minutes. Clockwise to increase delay
Sensitivity range is 0-10/16 [15MM]. Clockwise to increase sensitivity
Operating Instructions:
All settings should be made with Product (Grain or Feed) not in contact with sensor (Sensor is not
Activated).
The HS09 has a time delay. The relay switches as soon as the sensor is activated (detects grain or
feed), but when the activation ceased, there is a delay before the relay switches back. The red LED
indicates the status of the sensor and the relay.
