OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This is the safety alert symbol used for the OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS section of this manual to alert you to potential personal
injury hazards. Obey all instructions to avoid possible injury.
The load leveler is designed to be used with a portable shop crane to handle and position engines and other large vehicle components. The
drive screw adjusts the sling's lift point in relation to the mounting chains to compensate for off-center loads, or adjusts to a certain angle for
component removal or installation.
1. Attach the shop crane's hook or attachment device to the oval link at the top of the sling's lifting block. Make sure the connection is secure.
2. Lift only on the areas of the engine or component as specified by the vehicle manufacturer. Make sure that all four chains are securely
fastened to the load.
3. Before lifting make sure that all fuel and electrical lines and components are clear of the load.
4. Lift the load just high enough to locate the center of balance or the desired angle in which the load can be removed. This adjustment is
accomplished by turning the sling's drive screw in a clockwise or counterclockwise rotation.

IMPORTANT: Any leveler found to be defective as a result of worn parts due to lack of lubrication is not eligible for
warranty consideration.
1. Always store the leveler in a well protected area where it will not be exposed to inclement weather, corrosive vapors, abrasive dust, or any
other harmful elements.
2. The leveler must be lubricated periodically in order to prevent premature wearing of parts. A general purpose grease must be applied to the
threads on the screw.
3. Every leveler owner is responsible for keeping its label clean and readable.
4. Do not attempt to make any repairs unless you are a qualified repair person that is familiar with this equipment.
