Check the accessibility of a handset using a verification tone
The verification tone enables you to establish whether or not the handset is working in the extended area,
see page 15 of the Gigaset Repeater. This tone is audible on the handset every 2.5 seconds as long as a line
is allocated.
Proceed as follows:
¤
Repeater:
To switch on the verification tone:
Press repeater button until the right LED lights up (after approximately 20 seconds).
¤
To switch off the verification tone again:
Press repeater button again until the right LED goes out (after approximately
20 seconds).
¤
Handset:
Allocate line (hold down call answer button).
¤
When you hear the verification tone, you are in the extended reception area. If you don't
hear a verification tone, move towards the repeater with the handset until you hear it.
