Configuration
The WELL™ Quad-M uses a regular DMX data connection for its DMX
personalities: TOUR, TR16, ARC.1, AR1.D, ARC.2, AR2.D, AR2.S and
HSV. See the User Manual to connect and configure for DMX operation.
Note: For optimum control of the 16-bit dimming channels in the TR16
personality, be sure that both dimming curves in SET > DIMX and SET >
CURV are set to OFF.
The WELL™ Quad-M will work with a DMX controller using a regular DMX
serial connection or via W-DMX™. A DMX Primer is available from
www.chauvetpro.com.
The WELL™ Quad-M is fully compatible with the Infrared Remote Control
(IRC) from CHAUVET®. For more information on the IRC, download the
User Manual from www.chauvetlighting.com.
The WELL™ Quad-M uses the DMX data connection for its Master/Slave
mode. See the User Manual to connect and configure for Master/Slave
operation.
The WELL™ Quad-M product can operate in W-DMX™ mode up to
300 m (900 ft.) from the W-DMX™ transmitter. The W-DMX™ receiver in the
WELL™ Quad-M product must be paired with the W-DMX™ transmitter for
wireless operation.
1.
Turn the W-DMX™ transmitter on.
2.
Connect the W-DMX™ transmitter to a DMX controller.
3.
Place the WELL™ Quad-M product within 300 m from the W-
DMX™ transmitter.
4.
Disconnect any DMX cable from the WELL™ Quad-M product.
5.
Turn the WELL™ Quad-M product on.
1.
From the WELL™ Quad-M's control panel, go to RUN > DMX.
2.
Select the start address, as with any other DMX compatible product.
3.
Go to WDMX > ACTI.
4.
Select ON.
W-DMX™ operation can be interrupted or inhibited by liquid masses
between the transmitter and receiver such as water, snow, or people. For
best results, keep the antenna clear of any liquid mass.
