FIELDS OF APPLICATION

Installing the "MH" series valve on the distribution
manifold of a radiant system, allows, once the
initial calibration has been performed, ensuring a
correct distribution of the flow rate with immediate
comfort and reduced consumption.
OPERATION
"MH" series balancing valves for radiant systems
work by maintaining constant the differential pres-
sure on the radiant distribution manifolds.
Pressure difference may vary significantly as a
result of load variations, both external and inter-
nal, to the radiant system. Through the balancing
piston, the "MH" series valve allows levelling out
any imbalances, maintaining the pre-set differen-
tial pressure constant.
FITTING
The "MH" series valve features a G1" (2) idle
nut that allows it to be connected to the return
manifold placed in the radiant system's distribu-
tion box.
The capillary tube supplied must be connected
between the pressure plug (5) positioned on the
bottom cap of the valve, and the pressure plug
placed on the ball valve on the inlet manifold.
CALIBRATION
To calibrate a system with more than one manifold
with MH, implement the following procedure
1. Connect the MH series valve to the return
manifold with capillary tube provided
2. Set the pump (or pumps) in constant speed
according to the maximum flow rate and
maximum pump head needed (in the case of
new installations or installations with inverter
pumps).

3. Go to the nearest manifold according to the
pump.
4. All loops must be open
5. Start the system (at this point the sections will
be unbalanced)
6. Locate the unfavourable section, (the one
with a lower flow rate).
7. Turn the valve's control knob (4) to bring the
value of the unfavourable section flow to the
desired value
Is the flow

moving?
YES
Go to point 8
Turn counterclockwise the knob till full
opening.
Set the Dp design turning the knob
DP setting=17+3,5x number of turns (kPa)
Example 2 turns
Dp setting= 17+3,5x2=24 kPa
8. Then adjust the columns of the manifold
valves to vary the flow rate of the other sec-
tions
9. Fasten the control knob by using the appro-
priate security dowel (3)
10. Calibrate next manifold (nearest second one
according to the pump) with the same pro-
cess.
11. Keep on calibrating the following manifolds in
the order according to the pump.
12. Set the pump in the self-adjusted mode
operation.
