3. Installation
The unit may only be connected up by a qualified
electrician (in Germany according to BGV A3).
Note
Thermostat and radio receiver need to be
taught-in. Pay special attention to the in-
formation in section 3.7.
3.1 Safety information
Read these instructions thoroughly prior to
installation and commissioning.
After installation, hand over the instruc-
tions to the end consumer.
Warning
Danger of death from electric shocks!
Only install and connect the device in the
de-energized state.
3.2 Conditions of use
Only install thermostat in conjunction with
electrical heaters from the manufacturer's
product range.
When installing in rooms with bath or sho-
wer facilities: comply with protective areas
according to national installation standards
(in Germany DIN VDE 0100-701). Also fol-
low all local regulations.
During installation, a residual-current-ope-
rated protective device (with trigger limit

less than or equal to 30 mA) must be pro-
vided on-site.
If a unit is connected directly to the fixed
electrical installations: incorporate a dis-
connecting device in accordance with the
local regulations for mains disconnection.
Only store and transport the device in the
protective packaging.
