8 SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The 817.400 bipod called the GRIZZLY (fig .1),
is a device adapted for access in environments
where you need to protect the ropes and shift
the load point. The capacity of the device,
calculated by applying
a safety factor of 1:5, is 300 kg.
Terminology and materials of the main parts:
(A) Aluminium alloy side bars, (B) Aluminium
alloy upper bar, (C) Steel cable, (D) Aluminium
alloy feet, (E) Steel joint, (F) Aluminium alloy
collar, (G) Lever lock (H) Elastic reference
marker (I) Steel brace point (L) Eyelet
connection point (M) Steel shackles.

The Grizzly is composed of the following parts:
- 2 pairs of side bars (A) connected by the steel
cable (C),
- 1 upper bar (B),
- 2 feet (D) ,
- 2 shackles (M).

At least three people are required to
operate this device, all properly prepared
and trained in its use.
