BefoRe fitting the chest belt to any wheelchair/seating system, please consult the
wheelchair/seating system manufacturer's manual (or contact them) to find out if it is
acceptable to do so.
chest Strap assembly
1.
Determine the appropriate location for the mounting
hardware to be installed on the wheelchair.
2.
Attach the Strap Guides to the wheelchair by
fastening screw (not provided) to the frame (Fig. 1).
Note: the Strap Guide can be mounted either on the
back or on the side of the wheelchair back.
3.
Thread both Chest Straps through the Strap Guides
(Fig. 2) making sure the 'D' Ring is on top.
4.
Slide both Three-Bar Slides onto the Chest Strap (Fig 3).
5.
Thread the second Chest Strap through the first Three Bar Slide (Fig. 4 & Fig. 5).
6.
Thread the second Chest Strap through one side of the second Three-Bar Slide
(Fig. 6).
7.
With the user in place, position the Chest Pad just below the chest and clip the
buckles (Fig. 7).
