- Analog Closed Caption: Many programs are
encoded with closed-captioning information, which
lets you display the audio portion of a program as
text on the TV screen. Caption is not available on all
channels at all times. Only specific programs encoded
with closed-captioning information are applicable.
Choose which captioning mode is used for displaying
captioning information. Analog CC is available for
analog channels. Select your desired modes, you may
prefer to leave the closed captioned mode set to CC1,
which displays by using ▲/▼. The closed caption
options are as below:
• Off: No captioning information displayed.
• CC1 and TEXT1 are the primary caption and text
services. The captioning or text is displayed in the
same language as the program's dialog.
• CC3 and TEXT3 serve as the preferred data
channels. The captioning or text is often a secondary
language translation, simplified English, or displayed
at a slower rate.
• CC2 and CC4, and TEXT2 and TEXT4 are rarely
available and broadcasters use them only in special
conditions, such as when CC1 and CC3 are not
available, or TEXT1 and TEXT3 are not available.
- Digital Closed Caption: Turn on or off the captioning
information for digital channels.
Timer
This menu allows you to set the time zone on your TV
set, to program an automatic turn-off or wake-up timer.
Press OK to enter. The options are as follows:
- Time Zone Mode: Press ▲/▼ to select the mode of
local zone (GMT, Region).
- Time Zone: Press ▲/▼ to select the local zone (As
Broadcast, GMT+13:00 to GMT-12:00 or Region 1 to
Region 5).
Note: The options available vary according to the
value of Time Zone Mode. Region 1 to Region 5
represent Fernando de Noronha, Northeast, South
and Southeast, North, and West respectively.
- Clock: Press OK to display its options:
• Auto Synchronization: Press ▲/▼ to select On or
Off. If On is selected, the TV will get the date and
time automatically from DTV signals, and the Date
and Time options cannot be adjusted. If you select
Off, you should set date and time at Date and Time
options.
Note: If Off is selected, the time set in Time option
will not be memorized when turning on the TV next
time, and the TV's time will start from the default.
• Date: Press OK to access the interface for setting
date. To input characters in Date, press OK to bring
up the soft keyboard. Press ▲/▼/◄/► to selete
characters, and press OK to confirm. After entering
System Settings Menu
the info, press ▲/▼ to select Finish and press OK.
• Time: Press OK to access the interface for setting
time. The operations are similar to that of setting
Date.
• Power Off Timer: Press ▲/▼ to select Off, Once,
or Daily. If you select Once or Daily, you should set
a specific time at Timer option.
• Timer: Set a specific time at which the TV
automatically goes into standby mode. The
operations are similar to that of setting Date.
• Sleep Timer: Press ▲/▼ to set the TV to turn off
after a given amount of time. To cancel the sleep
timer, select Off.
- Daylight Saving Time: Press ▲/▼ to select On or
Off. Select On to set the daylight saving time for your
area automatically.
Lock
This menu can control the special function for TV
channels.
Note: You must enter your password before entering
the Lock menu.
Press OK to enter. Enter the default password 0000 to
access the submenu. The options are as below:
Note: 0812 is the super password. If you forget your
password, enter it to override any existing ones.
- Program Block: This option allows you to block TV
programs at specific ratings. Press OK to display its
options: Age Rating and Content Rating. Press ▲/▼
to highlight one option, and then press ▲/▼ to select
the rating you want to change.
- Channel Block: This option allows you to block a
certain TV channel. Press OK to enter. Press ▲/▼ to
select a certain TV channel you want to lock, and then
press OK. To unlock, use the same operation.
- Change Password: This option allows you to change
the password. Press OK to enter, then press the
numeric button to enter the old password, and then
the new password twice.
T-Link
This enables the TV set and your CEC devices (e.g.
DVD) to turn on/off or auto standby synchronously.
Press OK to enter. The options are as follows:
- T-Link
Enables the T-Link function. Select On to enable this
function.
Note: The options TV Auto Power and Auto Standby
below are only available when T-Link is set to On.
- TV Auto Power
Enables the TV to automatically power on when you
