OLIVETTI OFFICE USA, Inc., que realiza sus actividades comerciales como ROYAL INFORMATION BUSINESS PRODUCTS
("Royal"), 379 Campus Drive, Somerset, Nueva Jersey, 08875, GARANTIZA que su NUEVO producto Royal está libre de defectos de
mano de obra y materiales. Si se detecta un defecto o avería de este producto, Royal lo reparará gratuitamente, de acuerdo con los
siguientes términos:
PIEZAS: Componentes nuevos o reacondicionados comparables, a cambio de piezas defectuosas, durante UN AÑO a partir de la fecha
de compra.
MANO DE OBRA: Royal proporciona garantía por mano de obra durante un (1) año a partir de la compra por el usuario final. El producto
debe ser enviado a Royal con franqueo prepagado y asegurado. Al terminarse la reparación, el consumidor será responsable de pagar
los cargos de envío desde Royal, y de todas las piezas o el servicio que ya no estén cubiertos por la garantía. Esta garantía no se aplica
a las personas que compraron este equipo de segunda mano o usado.
Esta garantía no incluye ajustes, piezas o reparaciones requeridas por circunstancias fuera del control de Royal, incluyendo pero sin
limitarse a: incendio u otro tipo de pérdida, accidente, descuido, abuso, mal uso o daños por fugas de la batería.
NO EXISTE NINGUNA OTRA GARANTÍA EXCEPTO LAS DECLARADAS EXPLÍCITAMENTE EN ESTE DOCUMENTO. UNA

DAÑOS CONSECUENTES que resulten de fallas, defectos o mal funcionamiento de este producto. Algunos estados no permiten la
limitación de la duración de garantías implícitas y otros no permiten la exclusión ni la limitación de los daños fortuitos o consecuentes;
por lo tanto, algunas de estas limitaciones pueden no aplicarse a su caso.
PROCEDIMIENTOS DE LA GARANTÍA
Royal ha puesto mucho empeño para asegurar que el producto que usted compró le proporcione muchos años de servicio sin problemas.
En caso de que el producto requiera servicio dentro de los primeros 30 días después de la compra, Royal recomienda enfáticamente que
lo devuelva al lugar donde lo compró para que se lo reemplacen. Por favor note que este período de reemplazo de 30 días puede estar
sujeto a limitaciones de la política de devolución establecida por el minorista, puede no estar disponible con el minorista, o puede ser
por un período de tiempo diferente según lo establezca el minorista. El minorista puede permitir intercambios después de este período
de 30 días. Si éste es el caso, Royal le recomienda enfáticamente que devuelva el producto al lugar donde lo compró para que se lo
reemplacen.
PARA OBTENER SERVICIO BAJO LOS TÉRMINOS DE ESTA GARANTÍA:
En caso de que no pueda obtener un producto de reemplazo del minorista, por favor haga lo siguiente:
1. Envíe una copia de su recibo original de ventas en el que se muestre la fecha de la compra, junto con su dirección postal y una nota
en la que describa la naturaleza del problema a:

2. Recibirá un número de autorización de devolución en un lapso de 7 a 10 días hábiles a partir de la fecha en que se reciba su solicitud
de devolución, si se determina que está justificado el reemplazo del producto. El formulario de autorización de devolución que reciba
describirá el procedimiento de devolución, los cargos aplicables, si los hay, y la dirección correcta a la cual enviar el producto devuelto.

3. Remove all paper clips and staples from paper before shredding. The Royal 10X
will cut staples, small paper clips and credit cards; however, proper discretion is
recommended.
4. Do not place hands or fingers into the shredder throat as serious injury could result.
5. When manually changing feed direction, pause long enough for the motor to stop.
6. Continuous shredding of computer paper should not exceed 20 minutes. If continuous
use is required at the maximum sheet capacity (10 sheets), it is recommend that
shredding time should be 20 minutes on and 25 minutes off to allow for proper
cooling of the motor.
7. Always turn off or unplug the shredder prior to moving, cleaning or emptying the
wastebasket.
8. Empty wastebasket frequently.
Paper jams and motor overload situations:
The Royal 10X is equipped with an automatic motor overload protection circuit. The
duty cycle for the 10X is rated for continuous shredding. The manufacturers suggested
running time at maximum capacity is 20 minutes on and 25 minutes off. The 10X will
automatically terminate power case of the following abnormal situations:
1. Operating the shredder at the maximum 10-sheet capacity continuously for a
prolonged period of time, eg. more than 20 minutes without stopping.
2. Exceeding the shredding capacity, eg. Inserting more than ten (10) sheets of 20-lbs.
paper in one pass, or if the paper is not fed squarely into the feed opening.
Both abnormal operations may result in the activation of the automatic thermal motor
overload protection circuit, which terminates the power to the shredder. A paper jam
could cause the thermal motor overload protection to terminate AC power to the motor.
Never allow the shredder to remain in a jammed condition with the AC power turned
on. If this occurs you should:
In case of a minor paper jam:
1. Place the slide switch in the REV position and pull the remaining sheets of paper
out of the feed opening. Remove the unshredded portion of paper from the top and
clear any excess paper shreds from the feed opening.
In case of a major paper jam:
1. Turn off or unplug the power cord from the AC outlet and wait at least 25 minutes
for the thermal overload protection to reset.
2. Plug in the AC power cord and slide switch in the AUTO position. If paper was
left inside the feed opening prior to the overload, place the slide switch in the REV
position and grasp the excess paper from the top and pull it out. Be careful not to
place your fingers near the feed opening or serious harm could result. Clear any
excess paper shreds from the feed opening.
3. Place the slide in the AUTO position. You are now ready to resume normal shredding.
