Before first use
Please note that during initial use of the casserole slow cooker, some slight smoke
and/or odor may be detected. This is normal and will eventually go away after the
first few uses.
How to use
1. Always set your slow cooker on a level and stable heat resistant surface. Make
sure the feet are sitting securely on the table or counter.
2. Prepare your recipe per the directions.
3. Place the stoneware crock into the heating base.
4. Assemble your ingredients in the stoneware crock. Cover with the glass lid. If
you need to pre-cook or brown foods prior to slow cooking, this must be done
in a pan on the stove, not in the slow cooker.
5. To begin cooking, plug the power cord into an outlet.
6. Select LOW (approx. 175-195°F) or HIGH (approx. 195-210°F) after referring to
specific recipe for precise cooking time.
7. When cooking is complete, the slow cooker will NOT switch to WARM
automatically. Turn slow cooker to OFF or WARM manually.
8. THIS UNIT BECOMES VERY HOT DURING USE AND EXTREME CAUTION
SHOULD BE USED DURING AND AFTER COOKING UNTIL THE UNIT HAS
COOLED COMPLETELY AFTER UNPLUGGING FROM THE OUTLET.
PLEASE NOTE: WARM setting is only used for keeping already cooked food warm
and is not intended for cooking. It is not recommended to use the warm setting
for more than 4 hours.
NOTE: Slow cooker lid should not be in the locked position while cooking.
NEVER attempt to lift or carry the slow cooker by the lid handle.
