11.3 Replacing the pump hose
The pump hose is exposed to mechanical loads and chemicals and must be replaced every
12 months at a minimum.
1. Remove all residual liquids from the system by repeating the rinsing operation with air
several times.
2. Disconnect the sipper module from the photometer.
3. Disconnect the hoses from the input and output of the peristaltic pump.
4. Push the lever on the back of the peristaltic pump towards the rear. The head of the
peristaltic pump moves towards the rear when the lever is pushed.
5. Lift the pump head upwards and remove the pump hose and connection nozzle. Note:
Please do not dispose of the hose and the nozzles in household waste.
6. Insert the new pump hose in the pump head and then place the pump head on the peri-
staltic pump.
7. Push the lever on the back of the peristaltic pump towards the front again. The cover of the
peristaltic pump moves towards the front when the lever is pushed.
8. Connect the hoses back to the input and output of the peristaltic pump.
9. Reconnect the sipper module to the photometer.
