8. Commissioning
Fit the blade unit and the seal onto the blender jar. Then connect the power plug
of the device into a properly installed power socket.
Place the blender jar with the blade unit onto the base unit. Ensure that it snaps
into place. Now open the top of the blender jar and put in the required ingredients.
The refill cover can be taken from the lid.
Do not use dry ingredients and make sure there is enough liquid
in the blender jar. Add liquid if necessary.
Select the required operating mode. The blender will then start to chop the chosen
ingredients into smaller pieces. Adhere to the prescribed operating time. Do not
exceed the blending time under any circumstances. If you want to use a program
for blending, turn the mode dial to the "Program" position and press the required
program button. After completing the blending process, remove the blending jar
from the base unit and pull out the plug from the socket.
Note: The device is designed only for brief periods of operation. Allow the device
to cool down for approx. 5 minutes of continuous operation before you start
blending again!
9. Cleaning and maintenance
Unplug the power cord from the outlet. Clean the base unit with a slightly damp-
ened soft cloth. Caution! Do not use liquids to clean the base unit and the power
connections. Do not use any aggressive, strong or abrasive cleaning agents.
You can clean the blender jar, the lid and the blade unit in soapy water. The
blender jar and the lid can also be cleaned in a dishwasher.
To clean the device quickly and immediately after use, fill the blender jar with
warm water up to about 60%, add little detergent and let the device run briefly.
Then, take the blender jar and shake it. Finally, rinse only the blender jar and
the blade unit using clean water until all residue and traces of the detergent are
removed.
Allow all parts of the device to dry completely.
