Intended Use
The machine is intended for repair-welding of plastic,
especially in the automotive area. Do not weld fibre-
glass. Use only original staples, as described in these
operating instructions.
For damage caused by usage other than intended, the
user is responsible.
Before Starting Operation
Connect the mains cable to the switch input and then
insert the mains plug into the socket outlet. Fasten the
staple carefully in order to prevent it from moving while
working. Make sure that the staple is clean and free of
inflammable substances.
Operation
A staple can be fastened to the electrode in three dif-
ferent positions (0°, 45°, 90°).
Switch the HOT STAPLER on.
Select the heating temperature depending on the mate-
rial thickness and the type of plastic.
• Position one–Green LED for plastics to 1.5 mm
• Position two–Yellow LED for plastics to 2 mm
• Position three–Red LED for plastics thicker than
2 mm
Push the button on the electrode grip and press the sta-
ple against the plastic.
Release the button and wait a few seconds until the sta-
ple has cooled off.
Repeat the procedure to finish the repair.
Cut off the protruding ends of the staple with a pair of
pliers.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Before any work on the HOT STAPLER itself, pull the
mains plug. In case of a power failure of the HOT STA-
PLER, check the fuse next to switch 1 and replace as
required. Keep the electrodes clean and free from
grease and chemicals.
In order not to overload the HOT STAPLER, it is recom-
mended to take a 6 minute break after 10 minutes of
working.
If the machine should fail despite the care taken in man-
ufacturing and testing procedures, repair should be
carried out by a Würth master-Service.
In all correspondence and spare parts orders, please
always include the article number given on the type
plate of the machine.
The current spare parts list for this power tool can be
