- Página 2 Installation The thermometer attaches magnetically, directly to a single wall stove pipe, 18" (45.72 cm) above the stove. If the stove pipe temperature exceeds 475 °F, the magnetic strength will decrease and the thermometer may fall on the floor and cause damage. To secure the thermometer, drill a hole in the stove pipe and place the screw in the eyelet located in the center of the thermometer.
