Intended Use

Mains-powered portable wall sander for sanding plastered walls and ceilings,
smoothing plaster surfaces, and removing loose plaster, paint and adhesive
coatings.

Unpacking Your Tool

• Carefully unpack and inspect your new sander. Familiarise yourself with all
its features and functions
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any
parts are missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting
GB
to use this tool

Before Use

WARNING: Ensure the tool is disconnected from the power supply before
attaching or changing any accessories, or making any adjustments.
• The tool is supplied folded in for storage and transport. Unfold the tool and
lock in position using the Locking Clip (5). Check the Short AC Cable (13) is
securely fitted and not damaged. Reverse the Locking Clip procedure when
storing or transporting after use
• Ensure the Hook & Loop Pad (9) is
securely attached, especially if this
is the first use after purchase. If the
securing bolt in the middle of the pad
is loose, tighten before use
• Fit a sanding sheet carefully so the
holes of the sheet line up with the
holes of the Hook & Loop Pad. This is
important so the dust extraction works
correctly. Always purchase perforated
replacement sanding sheets for
optimal dust extraction and sanding
• Connect the Hose (14) by inserting
the Hose Connector (17) into the
Main Collar (15). Unscrew the Main
Collar, then insert the Hose Connector.
Retighten the Main Collar securing the
Hose Connector
• Connect the hose of your dust extraction
system or vacuum cleaner to the Vacuum
Connector (10) ensuring it is securely
fitted. The vacuum connector has a
32mm inner diameter. If you require a
different size fitting an adaptor may be
required to convert your extraction
system or vacuum cleaner hose
connector to 32mm

Operation

WARNING: ALWAYS wear eye protection, adequate respiratory and hearing
protection, as well as suitable gloves, when working with this tool.
Adjusting vacuum power
• Adjust the Vacuum Adjuster (16) to vary
the vacuum power for dust extraction
and vacuum cleaners that do not have a
variable power control built in. The further
the hole is open the weaker the suction
will be. See diagram. The correct level of
suction allows smooth easy movement
of the Sanding Base (8) with adequate
suction to remove all dust generated by
sanding
• Leaving a very small hole open can
help protect the motor of your extraction
system or vacuum cleaner if a blockage
occurs
Adjusting sanding speed
• Adjust the rotating speed of the wall sander by turning the Speed Adjustment
Dial (4). Select a speed that works well with the vacuum extraction power
and allows the easiest control of the sander on the surface being sanded
Switching on and off
• To switch on the sander depress the On/Off Trigger Switch (3). Press the
Lock-On Button (2) before depressing the On/Off Trigger Switch to lock
the sander into the 'on' position. To switch off in either mode, depress and
release the On/Off Trigger Switch
