Operating instructions
1. Remove the inner and outer protective f lms from the welding f lter (only for the f rst use).
2. Before use, make sure the protection plate of the lens is clean and the sensors in front of the lens is not
covered by dust.
3. Before welding, make sure that the f lter is transparent enough to see the work piece clearly.
4. Adjust the shade number: Turn the knob on the helmet's right side for selecting proper shade number
according to different welding current and welding process (see table below). The defaulted shade is 11.
Shade number table
This table shows the suggested tints for various types of welding at different amp settings. For example, owners
of adjustable-tint auto-darkening welding helmets can preset their helmets to darken to 10 when stick welding
at 60 Amps or preset it to darken to 12 when they weld at 250 Amps.
5. Adjust the Sensitivity - Turning the knob on the inner f lter "Sensitivity" from "low" to "high".
• Select minimum : Suitable for high amperage welding or welding in bright environmental light (e.g.
there is disturbing light from other welder's vicinity).
• Select maximum: Suitable for low amperage welding, using in pool light conditions (e.g. Pipe welding
where part of the arc 1s obscured from view) and where the welding arc becomes stable (e.g. TIG
welding).
• Select medium: Suitable for most types of welding indoors and outdoors.
6. Check the auto-darkening f lter: At the moment of starting welding, it automatically changes the f lter screen
from the light to the dark state, and at the moment of stopping welding, the f lter screen automatically
returns to light state.
