INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR WOOD MARKING IRON
- Make certain that the rated power stated on the machine's rated plate agrees with the local
mains voltage before connecting the machine to the mains.
- 230-240 V machines can also be connected to 220 V mains circuits.
- Be sure to disconnect the machine from the mains after finishing work.
- Allow the device to cool down completely before storage! Rest the device on the stand provided or on a non-flammable surface
during breaks or after finishing work. Do not leave the machine unsupervised until it has cooled down completely.
- Do not use the device if the handle, mains cable or plug show signs of damage. Send the device to an authorised workshop for
repair. Never open the device yourself.
- Keep the device away from children!
- Do not expose the device to water or moisture.
- The device may only be used indoors.
- Ensure that no liquids enter the device.
- Do not touch the marking tip or marking iron when the device is hot. Danger of burns!
- Use the device only in well ventilated rooms.
- Do not eat or drink whilst working with the device. Always wash your hands thoroughly after finishing work.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.

USING THE MARKING IRON
MAINS CONNECTION
The unit may only be connected to a single-phase mains outlet with as the same voltage as given on the machine's rating plate.
230-240 V machines can also be connected to 220 V mains outlets. The mains circuit must be equipped with a 16 Amp fuse. The
machine may only be connected the an earthed socket. Additionally, we recommend using a residual current circuit breaker.
SWITCHING ON AND OFF
The marking iron is switched ON as soon as the plug (9) is connected to the mains.
Disconnect the marking iron's plug from the mains to switch it OFF.
USING THE MARKING IRON
1. Ensure that the rated voltage on the machine label agrees with the local mains voltage.
2. Check that the insert (e.g. a marking stamp (3)) is securely fitted before you heat up the device.
3. Connect the marking iron (1) to the mains.
4. Never heat up the marking iron without a tip fitted.
5. The tip (e.g. marking stamp - part 3) may only be removed from the marking iron when it is switched off. Screw new tips as far
as they will go into the tip holder.
6. Allow the marking iron to cool down after you finish work. Do not cool by rinsing under water.
7. Place the marking iron on the stand (7) during breaks in your work.
