M54504 - EXP. CARD Ethernet & SD
This is a descriptive manual of the procedure to insert and
confi gure the inputs/outputs expansion card (relay) of the
CVMk2.
You can download the complete manual in digital format

Before any maintenance, modifi cation to the
connections, repair, etc., the equipment must
be disconnected from the supply and the
measure connections. If wrong operation is
suspected the equipment must remain out of service. The
equipment is designed to changed quickly in the event
of any breakdown.
1. CARD INSTALLATION
Disconnect from supply and measure the device.
Remove the screw and the cover
Insert the card in the guides.
Press the card carefully.
Put the cover and the screw.
ATENTION: When you install an SD card in
the CVMk2, it'll be formatedautomatically.
Don't insert memory cards with documents
that you want to conserve.
The memory card has to be FAT16 and maximum
capacity of 2 Gb.
Not insert FAT32 and HCSD formats.

2. CARD CONFIGURATION
When we have introduced the card, we have to confi gure it.
Select
MENU
from the upper line of the display and confi rm
with
SET
to unfold the window.
Select
SETUP
and confi rm with
SET
move in the upper menu with the arrows since
and select it with
SET
key.
We have 3 options (
CARD 1
,
CARD 2
to select according the position which we have introduced
the card. In the picture is position 1, then we will select
CARD 1
.
NOTE: If select you select a position where is no card, will
appear the message
NO CARD
.
When we have selected the card we have to confi rm with
the
key and will enter in the confi guration.
SET
To erase the registry fi les or do a memory format, we have
to unfold the window
, select
menu
setup
SET
key.
The keys of this screen are:
esc
: Go back, window without saving changes.
ok
: Leave the editing window saving the changes.
It creates a single file of events *. EVQ which holds
all voltage events. The files *. STD, are generated
automatically every day.
In format screen, where we can see the following settings.
ATENCIÓN: Before to extract the SD
memory from the device, we have to stop
the communications between device and SD
card. If don't srops the communications, the
SD memory card could be damaged.
Clear STD
: Erase the last record fi le.
Clear evq
: Erase the last voltage event detected.
Format
: Do a memory format.

: Stops the communications between device and
memory SD.
3. COMMUNICATIONS
The ethernet and memory card for CVMk2, is designed
specifically to communicate in an ethernet network.
ETHERNET network optimize the IT structure and facilitate
the installation.
3.1. IP SETTING
You can use the Power Studio SCADA (you can download
from www.circutor.com, or by ARP comands.
In order for the ARP command to work on Windows, the
ARP table on the PC must have at least one IP address
defi ned other than its own. If the ARP table is empty, the
command will return an error message. Type "arp –a" at the
DOS command prompt to verify that there is at least one
entry in the ARP table.
a) If the local machine is the only entry, ping another
IP address on your network to build a new entry in the
ARP table; the IP address must be a host other than the
machine on which you are working. Once there is at least
one additional entry in the ARP table, use the following
command to ARP an IP address to the TCP2RS, i,e:
arp -s 191.12.3.77 00-20-4a-xx-xx-xx.
b) Now open a Telnet connection to port 1. The connection
will fail quickly, but the TCP2RS will temporarily change its
IP address to the one designated in this step. ie:
c) Finally, open a Telnet connection to port 9999 and set all
required parameters. i,e:

4. PARAMETRES
To see the parameters of the SD memory card, you have to
unfold the window menu and select exp.card. Select card 1,
card 2 or card 3 depending on the position of the card and
will see the parameters:
