STEP 4 – Set Basic Scan Preferences
1. In the SciView software click on Preferences...
2. Configure the settings for this session (for Custom 1-5 settings see Step 4a)
STEP 4a – Set Basic Scan Preferences
Once in Custom Settings you can select your scanning mode
Microscope Slides
① Basic Settings:
1. File Description: change the name on the Custom button
2. Scanning Target: tissue Sections; Common Things; Aquatic Organisms; Other
3. File Format: TIF (uncompressed) or JPEG
4. Scanning resolution: Quality or Normal
5. Color Depth: 8 or 16 bit color
6. Directory: change where the files are saved to
7. Prefix File Name: the name of the scanned images when saved
