Step One
Installing Batteries
Your meter comes with three LR44 button cell
batteries, packed separately.
1. Open the top cover and slide the function
switch to OFF.
2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screw
from the battery compartment cover. Slide the
cover inthe direction of the arrow to remove it.
3. Install the batteries, positive side (+) up.
4. Replace the cover and secure it with the screw.

5. When appears on the display or the meter
stops operating properly, replace the batteries.

Step Two
Operation
For the most accurate readings, the temperature should be between 65
° ° °
83 F (18 C and 28 C), with 70% maximum relative humidity.
To turn on the meter, slide the function switch to any position except OFF. To
turn off the meter, slide the function switch to OFF.
To test the meter's display, turn off the meter. Then hold down SELECT while
turning on the meter. All segments appear on the display. Release SELECT to
end the test. The meter enters power lock mode and PWL appears on the
display. If you do not want to be in power lock mode, slide the function switch
to OFF, and then turn on the unit. PWL disappears.

Step Three
Taking Measurements
Slide the function switch to a position for measurement. Then
press SELECT until the desired function appears.

For example, to measure a diode, slide the function switch to

automatically selects the range to give you the best reading.
Note the unit of measurement and position of the decimal
point to determine the range. 160.0mV appears in the 200mV
range and 160.0V appears in the 200V range.
