This function is triggered when the length of the bank
note is less than 70 mm. The display [4]/[14] then
shows

This function is always active.
Doubled (NC 520, 540, 560, 570)
This function is triggered when the thickness of the
bank note is greater than 0.16 mm. The display [4]/[14]

function and set the sensitivity.
The display [14] shows
If this function is active, DEN ap­
pears in the display [17].
Width (NC 560, 570)
This function defines the width of the first bank note as
the reference width. The sensor is triggered when the
width of a bank note deviates by 3 to 5 mm, depending
on the accuracy setting. The display [14] then shows

.
Press the MODE and + buttons to activate/de­
activate the function and set the sensitivity.
If this function is active, DD appears in the display [17].
Ultraviolet (NC 520, 540, 560, 570)
Faulty bank notes are detected by means of UV light. In
the case of faulty bank notes, the display [4]/[14] shows
CF1
.

This function can be activated/de­

button.
If this function is activated, the
UV button lights up.

Magnetic (NC 540, 560, 570)
This function detects magnetic colour on the bank
notes. In the case of faulty bank notes, the display

This validation function is always active when the
value count and sorting functions are on.
Strong magnetic fields can affect the sensor and falsify
results.

Metallic strips (NC 560, 570)
This function monitors the metallic strips in the bank
notes.
The function can be activated/deactivated by pressing
the MODE button.
If this function is active, MT appears in the display [17].
This function is always active with the value count
function.
Operation
Switching the Bank Note Counter On/Off
The bank note counter is switched on and off using a
switch on the rear of the machine.

After switching the machine on, it performs a self-dia­
gnosis. During the self-diagnosis,
pears in the display [5]/[15]. When the self-diagnosis
has finished without any errors,
[5]/[15]. If an error is detected, it is indicated in the dis­
play [4]/[14] (refer to Error Table).
If the machine will not be used for a longer period,
disconnect it from the power outlet.
Æ Select the function required before inserting bank
notes in the machine.
In the case of the NC 560 and NC 570, the settings
are saved for each currency. When you select a
currency, the settings last defined for this currency are
activated.
