• After boiling, dispose of the solution of water
and descaling agent properly.
• Rinse the tank and boil twice to remove any
residues.

Clean the appliance before and after each use
as described within this manual. Flush the tap,
the liquid level indication, the filter basket and

the percolator tube thoroughly. Use only the
recommended cleaning or disinfecting agents.

Do not clean the appliance with a water jet.

WARNING! The use of an override key allows
access to moving parts.

Maintain the appliance at an ambient
temperature from 15 °C - 25 °C for correct
operation. Do not expose the appliance to
temperatures below 0 °C to avoid freezing.

The appliance is not intended for cooking,
frying, constant boiling or any non-potable
liquids.
10. Ensure not to exceed the recommended
preparation temperature for safe filling and
dispensing of the content.
11. The access to the service area is only permitted
to persons having knowledge and practical
experience of the appliance, in particular as far
as safety and hygiene are concerned.
Electrical safety
1.
Ensure the rated voltage shown on the rating
label corresponds with the voltage of the power
supply.
2.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged
power cord or plug, when the appliance
malfunctions or has been damaged in any
manner.
3.
Protect the power cord against damages.
Do not let it hang over sharp edges, do not
squeeze or bend it. Keep the power cord away
from hot surfaces and ensure that nobody can
trip over it.
4.
Do not insert fingers or foreign objects in any
opening of the appliance and do not obstruct
the air vents.
5.
Protect the appliance against heat. Do not
place close to heat sources such as stoves or
heating appliances.

First use
•
On first use, odours and smoke caused by the conditions of
manufacturing may appear. This is normal and no reason to worry.
•
Discard the water from the first 4 boiling cycles without coffee to remove
any residues from the manufacturing process.

Brewing coffee
1. Fill the tank with the desired amount of water.
2. Insert the percolator tube and ensure it sits with its base firmly in the
receptacle.
3. Slide the filter basket over the percolator tube.
4. Add medium to coarse ground coffee evenly to the filter basket. We
recommend using 40 g of ground coffee for 1 litre of water.
5. Switch the appliance on.
6. For best flavour, remove the filter basket and percolator tube after the
brewing time has elapsed. Always use heat and water resistant food-
grade gloves or oven mittens when touching hot surfaces.The lid can be
used as carrying tray for the filter basket when disposing coffee remains.
NOTE:
•
Do not fill beyond the maximum marking inside the tank or at the liquid
level indication.
•
The amount of coffee can be increased or decreased to taste, but not
exceed 40 g of ground coffee for 1 litre of water.
•
Do not use fine powder-like ground coffee.
•
Do not use soft water.
•
It is recommended not to operate the appliance if the liquid level is too
low to be displayed in the liquid level indication.
•
Do not store liquids in the tank for a longer period of time.
•
Always close the lid after filling, inserting or removing the filter basket and
percolator tube and ensure the steam vent pointing to the back side of
the appliance.
•
Allow the appliance to cool down and rinse it thoroughly, before starting
another brewing cycle.
Switching on/off
•
Press the on/off switch to the position ON to switch on.
NOTE: The heating function is switched on and off automatically in order to
maintain the serving temperature.
•
Press the on/off switch to the position OFF to switch off.
NOTE: Always press the on/off switch to the position OFF before unplugging.
Dispensing
1. Place a suitable cup as close as possible under the tap.
2. Push down the lever on the tap to dispense the desired amount of liquid.
3. The lever will return to its initial position on release.
NOTE: The filled container may become very hot!
5.
After use
•
There will be some water left at the bottom of the tank. Check that both
the appliance and the remaining water have cooled. Carefully lift the
appliance and pour out the water. Rinse out the tank with fresh water.
