Press the NIGHTLIGHT button, the display will show NIGHTLIGHT ON and the lamp icon will be
displayed. Press the NIGHTLIGHT button again to cancel this feature.The nightlight does not activate until
the Alarm is switched on!
NOTE: If the night light feature is on and the alarm is on, the lamp level cannot be dimmed below the night
light level.
Using the Reading Lamp
The reading lamp level can be adjusted by pressing the up or down buttons, the lamp can be switched on
at full brightness by pressing the SNOOZE button, the display will show LAMP ON or LAMP OFF for 2
seconds.
Using the Security Mode
Press the SECURITY button, the display will show SECURITY ON or SECURITY OFF for 2 seconds, the
security icon (House) will be displayed when the security mode is enabled to remind you that this feature is
activated.. When you select SECURITY ON mode the unit will switch the lamp on and off at random times
between 19:00 (7:00pm) and 09:00 (09:00am) in the morning.The Security mode will light your home at
random times giving the impression to unwanted 'visitors' that the home is occupied.
NOTE: If the security feature is enabled some features will become locked out.

Troubleshooting Tips

How do I generate a Sunrise?
The Sunrise works in conjunction with the alarm time, first set the alarm time, then choose the desired
Sunrise period from the menu (e.g set to 15 min). Activate the alarm by pressing the alarm button (front
right). The Sunrise will start 15 minutes before the alarm time and the lamp will be at full brightness after
15 minutes.
How do I generate a Sunset?
Press the UP button until the lamp is set to the desired brightness level.To activate the Sunset just press
the alarm button.The lamp will slowly dim and switch off. The default is 15 minutes.
I cannot activate the alarm when pressing the alarm button and the alarm
symbol doesn't appear?
Ensure the security mode is switched Off. Is the Security Mode 'house' symbol displayed? The alarm and
Sunset cannot be activated when security mode is switched On.
Can I use any light bulb in the lamp attached to my Sunrise System Dawn
Simulator?
No, you must use a normal tungsten light bulb (ordinary light bulb), the max wattage of the bulb is 60W.
The Sunrise System will not work properly if a 'Saver Bulb' (low energy bulb) is used.
