NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property
•
Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed and matches the techni-
cal data of the device. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so
that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
•
Only use suitable extension cables whose technical data is the same as that of the device.
•
Unwind the mains cable fully before connecting up the device.
•
The device must be switched off when inserting or removing the mains plug.
•
Remove the mains plug if a fault occurs during operation or before a thunderstorm.
•
Never fi ll the measuring cup and the container of the chopper with hot food or liquids! The
contents must not be hotter than 50°C.
•
Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and does not
come into contact with hot surfaces.
•
When removing the mains plug from the plug socket, always pull on the mains plug and
never the mains cable. Do not pull or carry the device by the mains cable.
•
Do not place the device on or next to heat sources such as hobs or ovens. Keep naked
fl ames, e.g. burning candles, away from the device and the connecting cable.
•
Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, persistent moisture, direct sunlight or
impacts. Keep the device in a dry place at temperatures of between 0 and 40°C.
•
Never place objects on the device.
•
Do not use the device if it has malfunctioned, fallen or been dropped in water. Have it
checked in a specialist workshop before using it again.
Before Initial Use
1. Check the items supplied for completeness (see the "Items Supplied and Device Overview"
chapter) and possible transport damage. If you fi nd any damage, do not use the device (!),
but rather contact the customer service department.
2. Remove any possible fi lms, stickers or transport protection from the device. Never
remove the rating plate or possible warnings from the device!
3. There may be production residues on the device and accessories. To avoid harmful effects
to your health, clean the attachments, container and lid thoroughly before you fi rst use
them (see the "Cleaning" chapter).
