9. Another
cause
disconnection may be excess of current in
polishing. If there are a lot of pieces, current
may exceed maximum values. When this
happens, remove the excess pieces and
wait three minutes before resetting the
circuit breaker.
10. At the end of polishing time, the unit will
disconnected automatically. Remove the
polished pieces and wash them in abundant
water. If by mistake you have connected the
wrong polarities, you will find that the piece
is coated with a fine layer of copper.
Reconnect cathode and anode correctly and
repeat the process in order to remove the
copper layer.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

To ensure that the unit functions at its best and
has a long life, we recommend the following:
Always
use
electrolytes
quality. Ibis is especially important if you
want optimum polishing.
Regularly renew the electrolyte according to
the maker's instruction.
So that sound electrical contact is ensured,
frequently renew the wire hooks that hold
the
pieces.

The anode is the copper rod on top of the
tub, from which the pieces hang that are to
be polished to remove oxide. Clean it
regularly. Use fine paper.
Regularly empty the tub and remove its
electrodes in order to clean thoroughly. Use
a scourer and soap.
Do not let the electrolyte come in contact
with the control panel. To clean the surface
of the panel, use a cloth dampened in soapy
water.
Do not overload the unit. It is recommended
that operating current be kept below 7.5 A.
In addition, the surface area of a piece for
polishing should not exceed 15 cm
skeletals).
Avoid short circuits between the electrodes
of the unit. If the circuit breaker trips, wait at
least three minutes before resetting it.
PRECAUTIONS
♦ Make sure that manis voltage is correct (230
V, 50/60 Hz, and earthed).
♦ Do not use the unit in excessively humid
places.
♦ See to it that the unit is not used by children
or by personnel not specialized.

♦ Before cleaning it, make sure the unit is
unplugged.
♦ Do not submerge the unit in any liquid for
cleaning purposes.
♦ Do not put any liquid into the tub other than
an electrolyte of high quality.
♦ While the unit is operating, the electrolyte
will probably heat up. Certain fumes will
result. Do not inhale them.
♦ Carefully read the instructions of the
electrolyte manufacturer. Replace the elec-
trolyte as often as specified. Handle it with
care to avoid spillage. In addition, avoid
prolonged skin contact.
♦ To dispose of the electrolyte when it has
become degenerate, follow the instructions
of the manufacturer in relation to respect for
the environment
♦ Do not overload the unit. Ensure that
operating current does not exceed 7,5 amps.
♦ Keep the top of the tub closed as long as
possible, for in this way you will prevent
uncontrolled spillage of electrolyte.
