Installation of the fitting (no additional fixing materials required)
This fitting can be built into various types of paving, such as concrete
or natural stone, or into wooden constructions such as decking,
walls, fences, pond edges etc.
Step 1
To install in wood you must use a saw suitable for sawing holes with
a diameter of 100 mm. If you are installing in stone, use a drill with a
diamond bit. These can be obtained from your dealer. First drill the
holes in the required places. (Fig. 1)
Step 2
Feed the connector for the fitting through the hole and then carefully
insert the fitting into the recess. Then take the tapping plate and care-
fully tap the fitting into the hole to the correct depth, so that it is level
with the surrounding surface. (The lamp is pre-assembled) (Fig. 2)
NB: If the hole is too small you can cut a bit off each of the ribs.
Step 3
Join the connector to the main cable. Ensure that the cable lies
straight in the cable channel so that each part of the cable runs pre-
cisely over one of the contacts. Use the insert to help you do this.
First, place this in the connector under the cable. Now turn the
threaded cap onto the connector. This will cause the contacts to be
pressed through the insulation of the cable. (Fig. 3)
Step 4
Connect the power cable to the fitting by connecting the mini-con-
nector. (Fig. 4)
If the lamp does not work correctly, check that the connector is prop-
erly connected to the main cable. Do the same for the mini-connec-
tor. Repeat steps 3 and 4. Also check that when the fitting is con-
nected to the main cable the contacts are not bent. If you still have
problems, contact your dealer.
Replacing lamps
Use the lens remover to remove the lens. Replace the lamp, model
lB-4 12V / 4W, and then click the lens over the base again.
NOTE:
If you wish to mount the light in wood, please use the extra assembly
kit to prevent the light from being pushed through the surface when
placed under load.
