g Operating Instruction
The energy cost meter allows you to find the "power
guzzling" devices in your home or office both quickly
and easily. By replacing these devices with energy-
saving devices (such as class A, A+, A++), you can
save money and make an important contribution to the
environment. Example: By replacing an older refrige-
rator (approx. 15 years old) with an energy-saving A++
device, you can save up to 300 kWh annually or up to
EUR 60 (based on a tariff of EUR 0.20/kWh).
Read the safety instructions and notes carefully
before using your energy cost meter.
Important safety instructions:
The voltage or power of the connected devices
must not exceed 230 V or 3,680 W. Please note the
information printed on the type plate of the connected
devices.
Make sure that the passed-through protective
conductor is not blocked. In the case of a fault, this
could result in fatal injury. Only connect the device to
an electrical socket that has been approved for the
device. The electrical socket must always be easily
accessible.
The device is not protected against drops or splashes
of water. Do not let the product come into contact with
rain, moisture or other liquids to avoid damaging the
device and to prevent injuries due to short circuits.
We do not recommend that you operate this device
in environments exposed to flammable gases, fumes
or dust. When cleaning the device, make sure that
it is disconnected from power. Do not operate this
device in a moist environment or when the device
itself is moist.
Never use or open a defective device. Repair work
may only be conducted by an authorised specialist. As
with all electronic devices, keep the device out of the
reach of children.
We shall not accept any liability for damage to materi-
als or injury to persons resulting from non-observance
of these safety instructions or improper use. The
energy meter is not approved for the calculation of
electricity costs owed to the energy provider by the
consumer.
