3. Basic Settings:
First, set the price of a single kilowatt hour (kWh). You
can find this information in your last electricity bill or
you can ask your electricity company to supply you
with the current price.
a) Plug the energy meter (without a consumer such
as a TV) into a standard CEE 7/4 electrical socket
(230 V/50 Hz). After approx. 5 seconds the power
consumption (in Watts) appears on the display.
b) Press the SET button three times until the display
shows „COST/kWh". The last set value is saved by
pressing the MODE button once when you exit the
menu. Using the button, you can select the place that
you wish to change and using the UP button, you can
choose the desired value by switching the values 0-9
incrementally. If you would like to change the value
back to a lower number, keep pressing the button.
Once the display reaches 9, it starts back at 0. The
last value is automatically saved. The last set value is
saved by pressing the MODE button once when you
exit the menu.
4. Measuring:
Press the MENU button to return to the main menu.
Now connect the plug of the electrical device (e.g. TV)
to the energy meter. The consumption measurements
begin automatically. You can switch between the
different displays by pressing the MODE button. Once
you have carried out the desired measurements,
remove the energy cost meter from the electrical
socket.
