Install the solar shower in the place where the sun will last the longest throughout the day.
Choose the location so that it is exposed to as much sunlight as possible.
Avoid that the shower is in the shade at certain times of the day (FIG-3-1): if the shower is
installed so that it is always exposed to sunlight, the heating of the water will not be compromised,
To fix the shower to the ground, drill 4 holes in the floor (see basic shape at FIG-2-3) and fix
the solar shower to the ground using dowels, making sure that it is stable and cannot fall or collapse
due to strong wind and other external forces.
Hydraulic connection:
Connect the shower to a source of cold water, taking care to respect the maximum inlet
pressure. For the water inlet connection it is recommended to use a quick coupling (FIG-3-2) and a
flexible hose (make sure it can withstand a pressure of at least 600 kpa).
If the supply water contains impurities (sand for example), it is important to install a filter
between the shower and the cold water source.
Installation steps:
make the water connection to the cold water source (
1)
between the shower body and the fitting, the fitting fixed to the shower body must be always
held in place with a wrench. Pay the utmost attention in order not to damage the chrome
plating: for this purpose it is recommended to use a cloth to be inserted between the wrench
and the fitting (FIG-3-3)
lift and turn the mixer knob to the hot water position
2)
fill the tank and drain the water from the upper sleeve for a few minutes (to clean any
3)
impurities inside the tank)
return the mixer knob to the central position
4)
only then fix the shower head supplied (see below)
5)
the shower is ready to absorb solar radiation that will heat the water inside
6)
Fix the shower head supplied (see installation steps at FIG-3-4): to avoid loosening the seal
between the shower body and the fitting, the fitting fixed to the shower body must be always held in
place with a wrench . Pay the utmost attention in order not to damage the chrome plating: for this
purpose it is recommended to use a cloth to be inserted between the wrench and the fitting.
The shower will last longer if the following parameters are respected: (as required by
Legislative Decree 02/02/2001, n.31: implementation of Directive 98/83 / EC relating to the quality of
water intended for human consumption):
chlorides: maximum value 200 mg / l
pH: between 6.5 and 9.5
conductivity: maximum value 2500 µS / cm
