1. Remove the 14mm flange hex bolts from the end of each vehicle side frames. They are located on the bottom of each frame. Save
bolts for later re-installation.
2. Position receiver assembly up against bottom of vehicle side frame and bottom surface of boxed bumper beam, in line with existing
holes. Bolt the center section of the receiver assembly to the bottom of the step bumper with 14mm bolts threaded into the 14mm
weld nuts in the bumper box beam. These fasteners are included with hitch kit. Use the existing 14mm flange bolts, removed in
Step 1, to bolt the hitch frame brackets to bottom of each vehicle frame at the rear most hole.
3. Assemble a square hole plate #4 and carriage bolt #5 and insert into large access openings in the side of each vehicle frame. Drop
bolt with plate into the remaining attachment holes in vehicle frame which line up with forward hole in each hitch frame bracket. Each
carriage bolt should drop out through the holes in the hitch frame bracket. Bolt securely in place as illustrated.
4. Tighten the 14mm bolts to 110-120 ft. lbs. torque. Failure to tighten bolts as described may result in fastener loss or failure.
