Troubleshooting

Problem
Screw is driven too deep into the workpiece
Screw head is not driven fully into the workpiece
Screw belt is not feeding correctly
Screw not lined up with material
Screw head getting damaged
Not driving screws correctly
Screw driven into material at an angle
Mechanism stiff to operate
Difficult to adjust for screw length
Other abnormal operation
No operation when Trigger (15) is pressed

Possible cause
Depth Adjuster (9) or Stopper Base (21) position incorrectly set
Depth Adjuster (9) or Stopper Base (21) position incorrectly set
Operator error
Belt damaged
Incorrectly fitted belt
Screw Belt Channel (3) and Lower Screw Belt Channel (19) is not
allowing the belt to move freely
Screw length incorrectly set
Drill at too high a speed
Non-compatible collated screw belts
Screw Length incorrect
Mechanism requires lubrication
Mechanism can be stiff
Possible mechanism fault
No power

Solution
See Screw Depth and Screw Length Adjustment sections

Plunge the mechanism fully so it is stopped by the Depth Adjuster
correctly
Move past damaged part of belt
Make sure belt is correctly fitted at the Screw Mounting Point (2)
Check Screw Belt Channels are not damaged or bent, clean any
rough edges if necessary

Adjust to lowest speed setting and manually control trigger so
speed is lower for loading screw onto bit
Only use compatible collated screws (see Specification)

Carefully lubricate as per instructions in Maintenance section
Apply a small amount of oil or grease
May require repair or replacement . Contact a GMC service centre
or your original retailer
Possible tool fault contact a GMC service centre or your original
dealer
