Quick Marinator is the perfect accessory
®
for marinating foods. Your food will marinate in minutes when
vacuum packaged because the vacuum process opens
the pores of the food which allows the food to absorb the
marinade more quickly. Your FoodSaver
be used with FoodSaver
®
built-in marinate function.
FoodSaver
Vacuum Sealers WITH Marinate Function
®
Some FoodSaver
vacuum sealers have a built in marinate
®
function designed to be used with your Quick Marinator. The
marinate function consists of a series of timed vacuuming and
resting cycles which speed up the marinating process. If your
FoodSaver
vacuum sealer has the marinate function proceed
®
as follows:
1.
Prepare enough of the marinade to fully cover the food
inside your Quick Marinator. Always leave at least 2.5 cm
of space between the food and the rim of the base
2.
Make sure the rubber seal on the lid and the rim of the
base are clean and free from food debris which might
prevent it from sealing properly. Fit the lid to the base
.

3.
Turn the white knob on the lid of your Quick Marinator
fully clockwise until it stops
should be pointing at the LOCKED symbol ( ).
4.
Connect one end of the accessory hose to your vacuum
sealer and the other end to the hole in the centre of the
knob
.

5.
Turn the knob anticlockwise until the arrow is pointing
to the OPEN symbol ( )
position whenever you use a FoodSaver
which has the built in marinate function.
6.
Press the Marinate button on your vacuum sealer.
7.
Your FoodSaver
vacuum sealer will now begin its
®
marinating cycle.
When the marinate cycle has ended, simply remove
the accessory hose, open the lid and remove the food.
Alternatively, if you want to store the food in your Quick
Marinator before using it, turn the knob to the LOCKED
symbol ( ) before removing the accessory hose.

®
If your FoodSaver
marinate function proceed as follows:
1.
Follow steps 1 to 4 above.
2.
Turn the knob anticlockwise until the arrow is pointing to
the
symbol
3.
Press the Vacuum and Seal button on your FoodSaver
vacuum sealer.
4.
Wait until your vacuum sealer motor stops then turn the
knob to the LOCKED symbol ( ).
5.
Remove the accessory hose. Place your Quick Marinator
in the refrigerator and allow to marinate for 15-20
minutes.
Troubleshooting
If a vacuum is not being created:
•
For your Quick Marinator to work correctly, it is vital that
the rim of the base and the rubber seal of the lid are
clean and free from food debris.

Examine the rim of the canister for any cracks or

scratches. Any damage to the seal or rim can prevent
your Quick Marinator from creating a vacuum.
•
Make sure your Quick Marinator is not too full. Always
leave at least 2.5 cm between the contents and the lid.
•
Make sure that both ends of the accessory hose are
securely inserted.
Care and Cleaning
LID: The lid should be wiped with a damp cloth. DO NOT
immerse the lid in water. DO NOT wash the lid in a
dishwasher.
BASE: Wash the base in warm soapy water. Alternatively, the
base may be washed in a dishwasher (top rack only).
Dry all parts thoroughly before using.
