A. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce
the hazards resulting from becoming entangled in
or tripping over a longer cord.
B. This toaster has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric
shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully
into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
modify the plug in any way.
This product is intended for household use only.
10. Do not place on or near heat sources such as a
gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
11. To disconnect, make sure toast lever is in "up"
position, then remove plug from wall outlet.
12. Do not use the toaster for other than intended
use.
13. Oversize foods, metal foil packages or utensils
must not be inserted in the toaster as they may
involve a risk of fire or electric shock.
14. A fire may occur if the toaster is covered or touc-
hing flammable material, including curtains,
draperies, wall and the like, when in operation.
15. Do not attempt to dislodge food when the toaster
is plugged in.
16. Be sure to attach the crumb tray when using,
otherwise a fire may occur.
17. Do not leave the toaster unattended during use.
C. Extension cords are available and may be used if
care is exercised in their use.
D. If an extension cord is used:
(1) The marked electrical rating of the extension
cord should be at least as great as the
electrical rating of the toaster.
(2) The cord should be arranged so that it will not
drape over the countertop or tabletop where it
can be pulled on by children or unintentionally
tripped over.
3
