INSTALLATION
Mounting
To maintain explosionproof integrity, make sure all threads
are fully engaged.
1.
Install mounting module - pendant, ceiling, wall bracket, bulkhead
or stanchion in its support position and attach to conduit system.
For pendant and stanchion mounting modules, secure to conduit
with set screw provided.
2.
Remove globe/guard assembly from body as follows:
Loosen screw that secures locking tab. Lift tab and
retighten screw to hold locking tab temporarily out of the
way.
Unscrew globe/guard assembly.
3.
Remove the connection block/lamp receptacle assembly from the
body by unscrewing the four (4) captive screws.
4.
Apply a liberal amount of HTL® lubricant to the threads. Thread
the body into the mounting module until the mounting module seats
firmly against the O-ring seal and secure with body locking set
screw.
To maintain explosionproof integrity, make sure all threads
are fully engaged.
Wiring
1.
Pull supply wiring into mounting module and cover.
2.
Connect supply wires to connection block wires using methods that
comply with all applicable codes. Tighten all electrical connections.
3.
Insert the connection block/lamp receptacle assembly into body
and tighten four captive screws as follows:
Push conductors back up into mounting module
Seat connection block securely into cover.
Start all four captive screws into body and tighten evenly.
4.
At this point the lamp can be installed. Refer to the LAMP
INSTALLATION AND REPLACEMENT section of these
instructions.
5.
Apply a liberal amount of HTL® lubricant to the threads. Rethread
globe/guard assembly onto the body until assembly seats firmly
against O-ring seal.
To maintain explosionproof integrity, make sure all threads
are fully engaged.
6.
Slide locking tab into position, so it engages one of the slots on the
globe assembly. Tighten screw to secure locking tab.
7.
Install guard (if not already installed) using the 3 screws provided.
Tighten securely.
8.
Install reflector, if provided.
See REFLECTOR INSTALLATION section.
9.
Turn power on.

REFLECTOR INSTALLATION

The optional reflectors are installed as follows:
1.
Remove screws that secure guard to globe assembly
2.
Position reflector over globe and loosely reinstall screws into globe
assembly.
3.
Position guard key slots over screws and rotate until guard is held
in place by the heads of the screws. Tighten screws securely.
LAMP INSTALLATION AND REPLACEMENT
Medium base luminaires (EV301 Series) - For A19 lamps up to
100W, use Leviton socket extension catalog number 2005.
Mogul base luminaires (EV501 Series) - For PS30 medium base
lamps, use Cooper Wiring Devices socket adapter catalog number 332.
1.
Disconnect power to luminaire and allow to cool completely.
2.
Remove globe/guard assembly from body as follows:
Loosen screw that secures locking tab. Lift tab and retighten
screw to hold locking tab temporarily out of the way.
Unscrew globe/guard assembly.
3.
Remove Lamp.
4.
Perform cleaning and inspection as noted in the MAINTENANCE
section.
5.
Screw new lamp into lampholder and securely tighten lamp. New
lamp must be identical type, size and wattage as marked on the
luminaire nameplate.
To avoid shortened lamp life, lampholder failure, wiring faults,
tighten lamp firmly and completely.
To avoid injury, guard against lamp breakage.
6.
Thoroughly clean or replace O-ring gasket seal on EVI501 Series.
7.
Apply a liberal amount of HTL® lubricant to the threads. Rethread
globe/guard assembly onto the body.

8.
Slide locking tab into position, so it engages one of the slots on the
globe assembly. Tighten screw to secure locking tab.
