Safety instructions
The user manual is part of the product and contains important information for correct use.
• Read the user manual completely and carefully before use.
The user manual must be available for uncertainties and passing the product.
• Keep this user manual.
• Installation, assembly, maintenance and repair work must be carried out only by
trained electrical specialists.
Risk of electric shock!
• Do not turn off devices before working on getting all circuits de-energized!
• Do not touch live parts.
• Do not short-circuit connectors and circuits.
• Do not open the housing.
• Do not modify product and accessories.
• Do not insert objects into air vents or sockets!
A defective device must not be put into operation, but must be immediately secured
against accidental further use.
• Use product, product parts and accessories only in perfect condition.
• Avoid stresses such as heat and cold, moisture and direct sunlight, microwaves,
vibrations and mechanical pressure.
• In case of questions, defects, mechanical damage, trouble and other problems,
non-recoverable by the documentation, contact your dealer or producer.
Motion detectors are not suitable as a component for alarm systems within the meaning
of the association of Sachversicherer (VdS). You can trigger false alarms if the installati-
on site has been chosen unfavorably.
• Use only EN 60998-2-1 and EN 60998-2-2 approved terminals.
• Follow local installation and building regulations.
Not recommended for children and people with physical and / or mentally limited capa-
bilities.
• Secure packaging, small parts and insulation against accidental use.
• Install the system and devices attached to it in a way that persons cannot be inju-
red, or objects not be damaged for example by dropping or stumbling.
• Regularly check the tightness of the product / screws.

Description and function
2.1 Infrared motion detector IP44
This product is an infrared motion detector for indoor and outdoor use. It reacts to heat
radiation (infrared radiation) of moving objects that enter the detection range of the sen-
sor. About two controls the lighting time and the light sensitivity can be adjusted.

Intended use
We do not permit using the device in other ways like described in chapter
"Description and Function" or in the "Safety Instructions". Use the product only
in dry interior rooms. Not attending to these regulations and safety instructions
might cause fatal accidents, injuries, and damages to persons and property.
IP 44: This product is protected against splash and contact with foreign objects ≥ Ø1 mm.

Preparation
1. Check the scope of delivery for completeness and integrity.
2. Compare the specifications of all used devices and ensure compatibility.

Mounting
Danger!
• Have open cable ends connected ONLY by an experienced electrician.
• Do not touch live parts.
• Always disconnect all power circuits before working on the unit!
1. Cut off power supply before any work on the product, switch off safety fuses and
secure against reconnection.
2. Assure and check the absence of voltage before any work on the product.
3. Loosen the housing screw at the bottom of the motion with the aid of a Phillips
screwdriver, and remove the cover.
4. Choose a suitable location.
Do not mount near street lights, plants or air conditioning vents. Avoid direct sunlight.
Attach the product m at a minimum height of 1.8.
5. Securing the cover to the mounting material on a ceiling or wall in 1.8 to 2.5 m
height. Pay attention to the cable routing and the lateral alignment.

The detection range is 180 ° at a distance of maximum 12 m.
Supplied mounting hardware is included for concrete walls / ceilings. Other materials
need u.U. other mounting hardware.
6. Install the cable as shown in the following connection drawing:

7. Insert the terminal block to the connector on the provided retaining lugs.
8. Place the motion detector on the cover.
9. Screw the screw with a Phillips screwdriver again.
10. Align the motion by rotating and tilting the sensor unit.
11. Make the backup again.
