iPod/iPhone Charging
Your iPod/iPhone battery is charged as soon as the iPod/
iPhone is docked. To do this, the unit must be connected
to the mains.
NOTE:
• Not all iPod/iPhone generations support the charge
mode.
• The duration of the charging process depends on the
iPod/iPhone which is used and its operating condition.
Play Music from the PC
NOTE:
The description may differ depending on the operation
system and its settings.
1. Insert the audio transmitter (14) into a free USB port
of your Windows PC.
2. The first time you do this, the monitor will display
"Found new hardware". Wait until your PC has found
and installed the required device drivers.
3. After the device drivers have been installed, click on
"Sound and Audio Devices" in "Control Panel". In the
tab "Sound" select the option "SYNIC Wireless Audio"
as "Standard device" for "Sound reproduction".
4. Switch on (ON) the speakers with the speaker ON/OFF
switch (10).
NOTE:
If the speakers have not yet been connected with
the audio transmitter, proceed as described in the
section "Connection of audio transmitter and
speakers".
5. Now the speakers can be used as PC speakers. Play
your music files on the PC in the usual way (for exam-
ple with the Windows Media Player).
NOTE: Important!
Set a low volume with your music playback program.
Slowly increase the volume only after the speakers
have been switched on. Set a pleasant volume.
6. Adjust the volume with the +/- buttons (6) on the
speakers.
NOTE:
• The speakers always are started with the max. volume
when they are switched on.
• This operation does not require the base station to be
switched on.
AUX Jack (13)
Connect analogue playback device here. Connect playback
devices such as MP3 player, CD player, etc. to listen to the
music via the speakers.
1. Connect the external device via 3.5 mm stereo jack to
the AUX socket.
2. The unit automatically switches to AUX operation.
3. You will find further instructions in the manual of
your external sound source.
4. Listen to music playback from external playback
devices via the speakers. Press the +/- buttons (3/6/3)
to set the volume level.
NOTE:
Set the volume of the external device to a reasonable
level.
Charging the Built-in Batteries of the
Speakers
The speakers are operated via built-in rechargeable lithium
batteries.
When the power indication (7) of the speaker lights red,
the charge of the lithium battery is exhausted and the
battery must be recharged.
Proceed as follows to charge the speaker batteries:
1. Set the speakers onto the recessed charging areas of
the base station. The speaker charge indication (4)
flashes blue.
2. Once the speaker charge indication lights with steady
blue, the lithium battery has been charged.
