SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS!
BEFORE USE
Before you use the potato peeler, you should
read the instructions carefully and save them
for future use. The detachable parts (bowl,
cutter dish, salad spinner and lid) should be
cleaned before use.
USE OF POTATO PEELER
The potato peeler has a motor unit, bowl,
cutter dish and lid. Pull out the cord through
the opening to the desired length. Place the
motor unit on a clean and level surface. The
rubber feet on the appliance make sure that
the appliance stands steady.
Place the cutter dish in the middle of the bowl
and fill the bowl with cold water. The water
should not cover the outer edge of the cutter
dish. Place the bowl on the motor unit and
make sure that the cutter dish fits correctly.
Rinse/scrub the potatoes to get rid of dirt.
Place the potatoes on the cutter dish in the
bowl. Add only one layer and make some
space between the potatoes. You can peel
approximately 1kg at a time but if the potatoes
are big or irregular in size, you should add
smaller amounts.
NOTE! If you pour too much water into the
bowl, it may spill over when you start the
appliance. Place only one layer of potatoes in
the bowl.
Put the lid on and turn it in the direction of the
arrows to lock it. Plug the appliance and press
the switch. Rinse one or two potatoes on the
cutter dish to see if the result is good. If there
are still unpeeled areas, put the potatoes back
and put the lid on again until the potatoes are
adequately peeled. However, the operation
time should not exceed 1.5 minutes.
Since potatoes have irregular surfaces, there
will be some unpeeled areas left. These are
easily removable with a knife or you can use
the cutter dish manually to remove them.
If you are still not satisfied with the results of
the peeling, the reasons may be:
•
The potatoes are placed too closely.
•
You have more than one layer of potatoes
in the bowl.
2
•
The potatoes are very big.
•
The potatoes are very irregular in size.
•
The duration of the peeling was too short.
USE OF SALAD SPINNER
Rinse the salad under cold water and place
it in the spinner. Remove the cutter dish from
the bowl and place the spinner in the bowl.
The spinner should be filled evenly but not
too much (around 1/2 head of lettuce at one
time). Put the lid on and turn it in the direction
of the arrow to lock it.
Plug the appliance and press the switch.
When you press the switch, the appliance
will start immediately. After 20-30 seconds,
the salad will be spinned and still be crispy.
Remove the spinner, the water is saved in the
bowl and can easily be poured into the sink.
If the salad is not dry enough, you can just
spin it some more after stirring the salad a bit.
If you wish to spin whole lettuce leaves, you
should only fill half of the spinner.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The bowl, lid and cutting dish should be
washed in water and mild detergent or in the
upper basket of the dishwasher. The salad
spinner cannot be washed in the dishwasher
because it might get warped. The motor unit
can be dried with a damp cloth. Never use
abrasive detergents that may damage the
colour.
NOTE! The motor unit should never be rinsed
under water or immersed in water or any
other liquid.
