CORDLESS LANTERN UB18DL INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Please read the following instructions throughly before using this lantern
and use it correctly.
CAUTION:
Do not touch the fluorescent tube while lit or right after using. Touching it might
cause burns.
When hung from a high position always secure it with string or similar item so it
won't fall. If it falls, injuries might result.
Always turn the switch off (OFF) when not using or when replacing the
fluorescent lamp.
Do not use in the rain.
Do not disassemble, strike or otherwise apply impacts to the lantern body.
Do not let gasoline or thinner get on the lantern body.
Do not leave the lantern in places that reach high temperatures (60°C or higher)
such as in vehicles under a blazing hot sun.
Doing so might cause the lantern to break down.
Do not use any other than the specified storage batteries.
NOTE: Do not leave the switch in the ON position while not in use. This will shorten the
life (charge/discharge times) of the battery.

HOW TO USE
1. Inserting or removing the battery (See Fig. 2)
To install, make it face the same as battery 7 and insert inwards in the direction A in
the figure.
To remove, extract it towards the direction B while holding down the latch 8 of battery 7.
2. Replacing the fluorescent lamp (See Fig. 3)
Turn the lamp cover 1 in the direction C and remove it. Remove the lamp cap 2 and
replace the fluorescent lamp 3.
After replacing with the new lamp, install the lamp cap and reinstall the lamp cover in
the direction D.
AUTOMATIC SWITCHING FUNCTION
The lamp automatically switches to the LED to prevent total loss of light when the battery
wears down.
*When an EBL14 or EBM18 series battery is used, LED may not be turned on due to the
battery's over discharge protection.
