SURGE PROTECTOR—TELCO
2 Introduction
The Surge Protector—Telco guards sensitive data
networks against lightning induced surges, AC power
interference, electrostatic discharge, and ground
loop energies induced onto the telephone line.
Typical applications include modems, point-of-sale
terminals, fax machines, and most other dial up
equipment using standard modular telephone jacks.
The Protector uses high-speed solid state technology
in conjunction with overcurrent circuitry, enabling
the protectors to function even under a direct power
cross. It protects up to four wires on the RJ-11 or RJ-
45 device.
