3. Prepare the Bath
IMPORTANT! Do not remove the bath feet from the bath. The bath feet must remain attached to the bath
shell throughout the installation.
IMPORTANT! Protect the surface of the bath during installation. Cover sawhorses with a soft,
nonabrasive material.
Place the bath upside down on two saw horses near the construction area.
Remove a screw from each corner of the bath shell.
Lift the apron off the bath shell. Set the apron aside with the rim of the apron facing up.
Turn the bath shell over on the saw horses with the rim of the bath facing up.
Dry-fit the drain to the bath shell.
Confirm the locking plate on each mounting bracket is in the unlocked position and is oriented
toward the outside of the bath.
Set the bath shell at the determined bath location. Ensure the drain hole of the bath is aligned with
the P-trap.
Confirm the distance from each bath deck corner to the finished floor is 24-1/8" (613 mm). If this
distance is not met, adjust the height of the bath feet.
Trace the perimeter of each mounting bracket, then mark the two mounting holes on each mounting
bracket.
Set the bath shell upside down on two saw horses.
NOTE: For installations on tile, lightly tap the marked holes with a center punch to break the glaze on the
tile. This will ensure the drill bit does not wander during the drilling process.
Slowly drill the marked mounting hole locations.
Remove any debris.
Remove the mounting brackets from the bath feet.
NOTE: Select screws and bolts based on the type and thickness of the finished floor material.
