ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
"OPTIMA" bathroom radiators are intended for heating bathrooms or smaller rooms. They can be used for drying towels, bath sheets and
small laundry items. Combinable with floor or classical heating radiators, this radiator is equally suitable for home swimming pool areas,
sauna areas and gyms. Its heavy duty chrome-plated surface design makes it a very aesthetic part of your interior.
Before installation, or in the event of replacement of an existing radiator, ensure the central heating system is closed from both sides of the
radiator.
INSTALLING THE RADIATOR
1.
Choose a convenient location to install the radiator taking into account both its heating function and easy accessibility, and cohesion
with the room interior designs. The radiator can be connected to a central heating system with either "down-to-down", or "up-to-down" flow.
The connections are equipped with standard G1/2" internal threads. Mark its desired location on the wall and mark centers of the mounting
holes in the "L" and "H" dimensions. This information can be found in the chart according to the radiator size. If necessary, you can move
the bottom mounting-clips location one gap upwards or downwards from the recommended bar "H" dimension. The "L" dimension is not so
critical however we recommend you to place the mounting clips approx. 90mm from the radiator edge and equidistant from the centre line.
We also recommend you to install the radiator min. 110mm above the floor.
2.
Drill the 8mm mounting holes where marked and insert the 8x50mm wall plugs.
3.
Using the supplied screws and washers, screw the "A" parts of the mounting assembly to the wall and tighten the screws with the small
threaded hole for the "F" screw pointing downwards.
4.
Fit the "B" parts of the mounting clips into the "A" parts, and fix them lightly with the "F" screws. Slip the "C" rings and the "D" heads on the
threaded part of the "B" parts.
5.
Now hang the radiator on the prepared clips, and fix it with the "E" threaded supportive heads, ensuring the radiator hangs centrally
according to the clips.
6.
Loosen the "F" screws slightly, set the radiator vertical or level with the wall, and tighten the "F" screws again. We recommend a 65mm
gap between the radiator and the wall.
7.
Complete the radiator by fitting it with armatures for connecting to the heating system. Stop the remaining outlet openings with a plug or
a ventilation valve. If the radiator is connected "down-to down", its upper openings should be stopped (one with a plug, the other with
a ventilation valve) while in the lower part, the radiator should be connected to the heating system with an appropriate closing or
thermoregulation valve in either straight or corner variant. If a one-entry regulation valve has been used, it is necessary to stop the other
lower opening with a plug as well. If the radiator is connected "up-to-down diagonally", one of its upper openings should be stopped with
a ventilation valve while the other should be connected to the central heating system. The hot water outlet goes out diagonally through one
of the lower openings while the other lower opening is stopped with a plug.
Vent the radiator body thoroughly during filling with from the heating system.
ELECTRIC HEATING OF THE RADIATOR
8.
To utilise your radiator through the whole year, you can equip it with a heating insert (heating output as stated in the chart according to
the radiator size). Due to the different ways of connecting the radiator to the heating system, it is convenient to install this insert at the same
time as installing the radiator. The inserts are available with or without a thermostat, either to be plugged in a common electricity socket, or
to be connected to a leading-in cable under the plasterwork. The opening valve of a working radiator equipped with a heating insert must
be stopped. If the outlet side of the radiator is equipped with a connecting armature, this armature must always be open when the radiator
works.
The electric heating insert is to be installed from the bottom part of the radiator, opposite the entry vault. Into the radiator entry opening,
insert the "T" piece (no.2) and into the "T" piece, insert the heating body (no.1) (pointing upwards). Into the side entry opening of the "T"
piece, plug the heating delivery system connection.
If the radiator is connected "up-to-down diagonally" or if the single-entry system has been used, the electric heating rod is to be installed
straight into the radiator entry port without stopping the opening with a "T" piece.
The heating body (no.1) including the "T" piece (no.2) is available as special equipment and needs to be ordered and delivered separately.
Ecologically dispose of the packaging materials and the radiator at the end of its useful life, according to local country laws and
re-cycling facilities. Parts of packaging material should be re-used, where possible. Do not burn plastics.
MAINTENANCE
Maintenance should be made by using a soft cloth and normal household detergents. Do not use abrasive pastes, solvents or acetones
etc. The manufacturer is not responsible for damage caused by misuse, improper installation or repair of the product. The manufacturer
