Cooking Instructions:
As a general rule, beans should be soaked at least 4 hours before cooking.
Rinse the soaked beans before pressure cooking.
Add enough water, or use a flavoring liquid, to cover beans by 2 inches, but
do not exceed the half-fill rule.
Add 1-2 tablespoons cooking oils to minimize foaming.
Press the "Bean" Function key.
Press "Start"
In all cases, beans should be finished by allowing the pressure to drop of its accord.

Close lid and lock setting Pressure Release Valve to the "down pressure" position. Turn the
pressure control to "Medium"- Press the "Bean" function button and then press start. Cooker
will automatically choose the correct cooking time. Since various types of beans have differ-
ent textures you may want to use the manual "Timer" pressing the "+" or "-" to either increase
or decrease the cooking time.
When beans are finished the cooker will shut off automatically and go into a warming mode –
four dashes will appear on the front panel (----). Allow pressure to drop naturally, when the
release valve drops it is safe to open the cooker.
CHARACTERISTICS AND USES
Use in any recipe that calls for pinto beans. Very
digestible due to 25% less complex sugars.
These beans are characterized by a small eye

flavor. Used in Southwestern dishes.
A favorite for Mexican dishes. Pintos are medium
ovals with an earthy flavor.
