NOTE: Use a 13 mm hex wrench on the outside of the blade and a 11 mm open end
wrench or socket on the inside of the impeller. Hold the hex wrench stationary and
rotate the open end wrench or socket to loosen the nut.

Install a replacement blade with the hardware removed earlier.
NOTE: Ensure the counter sink (29) on the blade faces out and the sharp edge (30)
of blade points down. Torque hardware to 18–24 ft. lbs.
IMPORTANT: When sharpening the blade, protect hands by using gloves. Follow the
original angle of grind and make sure to remove an equal amount from each blade.
9.
To replace the other blade, rotate the impeller to expose the second blade and
repeat the steps above.
10. Reassemble chipper chute (8) to housing (Torque hardware to 15–18 ft. lbs.). Pivot
the shredder grate down and reinstall clevis pin and hair pin. Tighten wing knobs
and reattach the debris collection bag to the chute deflector. Refer to Debris Bag
paragraph under Assembly for correct procedure.
