PREPARATION
1.
Select the appropriate pressure gauge and install it to transparent body.
Delphi injectors: -1 to 3 bar
Bosch and VDO/Siemens injectors: -1 to 15 bar
2.
Attach the suitable connecting lines to the transparent body.
3.
Disconnect the return line of the injector you wish to test.
4.
Connect the injector return line to one of the connecting lines.
5.
Connect the other connecting line to the return connector of the injector.

TEST PROCEDURE
I. Engine starts
1.
Start the engine.
2.
Allow engine to run at idling speed until the transparent body is completely filled with fuel.
3.
Read off the pressure or vacuum on the pressure gauge and compare the actual pressure with
the specified pressure.
II. Engine will not start
1.
Briefly operate the starter several times so as to fill the transparent body with fuel.
2.
Operate the starter for about 10 seconds and read off the pressure or vacuum on the pressure
gauge at the same time.
3.
Compare the actual pressure or vacuum with the specified pressure or vacuum.
COMPARISON MEASUREMENT EXAMPLE 4 CYL.
If a deviation from the value specified by the manufacturer is detected, there is a faulty on the
corresponding injector.
