- Push the control unit onto the pins on the vehicle wheel housing as shown in the figure,
and use the plastic nuts (E) to screw this in. Tighten the nuts to 1.5 Nm.
- Use suitable abrasion-resistant tape to wrap up the wire where it comes into contact with
the ridge on the wheel cover.
Note. Check that the entire tow bar wiring harness is seated correctly.
If required, also secure the wiring harness in such a way that this
cannot work loose or be damaged, and that no interference noise can
occur while driving.
Refit all the components that you removed earlier and tighten the
respective connections to the specified tightening torques.
Connect the vehicle battery and carry out all steps relating to discon-
necting and reconnecting the battery.
Installing this electrical installation set for the tow bar does not
deactivate the parking aid from the range of ŠKODA Original
Accessories (if fitted) when in reverse gear and with a coupled trailer.
Activate the tow bar
Carry out the guided troubleshooting.
- Activate the "Software version management (SVM)" function. In this menu, select function 3,
known as the "Conversion/retrofitting solution" – see fig. 12.
- Enter the five-digit task code (can be found in the spare parts catalogue "ETKA") and
confirm.
- End the diagnostics in the usual manner.
