Tow bar – electrical installation
The accessories are intended for professional fitting. ŠKODA AUTO recommends that they are
fitted by a contractual partner.
Note. The figures in the instructions provide general
mounting information. They may differ slightly from the
installation positions for each vehicle.
Note
The set is intended for left- and right-hand drive vehicles that were manufactured as of
CW 22/2014 and that are equipped with the tow bar preparation.

Mounting procedure

When fitting the components, the vehicle battery should be disconnected (in vehicles with a
coded radio, first request the code).
The individual components are removed and refitted according to the instructions in the
ŠKODA Repair Manual.
Remove the following components:
- Cover for the luggage compartment sill,
- Subwoofer, if available
- On the Octavia Combi vehicles: The variable loading floor in the luggage compartment,
if available,
- Loosen the left-hand side panelling in the luggage compartment.

- The connection diagram for the tow bar's wiring harness in the vehicle.
- Lay the whole wiring harness for the tow bar through the vehicle as shown in the
figures.
