8.1.2. RE-CALIBRATING pH PROBE
Checking the calibration of the probe is a good practice to do on a 3-monthly basis. Conduct a water
analysis with a reliable pool water test kit and compare the reading from the test kit, to the reading from
the Davey Lifeguard probe. Realistically, there'll be very little adjustment required initially. However,
the probes are sacrificial and will deteriorate with age. The older the probes become, the more likely
the need for re-calibration, until the point of replacement. Upon replacement of the probe, a new re-
calibration should be performed.
